I must complain about the state of Ninth Street running through downtown Modesto.
I, as well as countless others, drive up and down Ninth Street nearly every day. We must perpetually dodge one pothole after another just to maintain a running vehicle. I am sick of the lack of action regarding this issue. It seems that city officials keep paving useless roundabouts in completely ineffective areas. I see these beautiful, just-paved roundabouts in areas which do not and will never receive as much traffic as Ninth Street. Who will pay for the immeasurable wear and tear and damage my car has taken from regularly driving down a depreciated Ninth Street? Not the city, I am sure of that.
It is time to stop wasting precious time, money and resources on roundabouts, and start making some much-needed repairs to Ninth Street. Hurry up and take action, officials. Make your discontented taxpaying drivers cheerful again.
