I hope your readers read Pete Bakker's column "Time to take stalled West Side project from West Park" (Oct. 18, Page B-7). He succinctly and reasonably stated why the West Park Project should be terminated by our county supervisors.
Hopefully, the supervisors will exercise their legal right, as stated in the contract with West Park, to start the 30-day termination notice in the very near future. Then different options may be entertained to develop the Crows Landing Air Base facility that will better meet the needs of the county and the West Side in particular.
Stanislaus County residents, please take a few minutes of your time to ask each supervisor by phone, letter, or e-mail to vote to end the contract with West Park.
