I take issue with the writer of "Women lack strength to lead nations" (Oct. 11, Letters). First, it is completely untrue. What about Indira Gandhi, Margaret Thatcher and Golda Meir, to name a few? Second, the women's movement has worked hard to establish women as equal to men, and this person's view has stuck women back in the '50s. Women are capable, multitasking beings who can handle life's problems certainly as well as men. If one doesn't like Hillary Clinton for president, that's fine -- this is America. Just don't make this about the "poor little fragile things" who cannot do a thing without a man around.
