The war against Iraq isn't affecting us here at home; it's not limiting our needs or wants. On the other hand, our soldiers who are serving our country are being affected by the war, mentally and physically. They are putting their lives at risk to make our country a better place, but they are not given time for themselves, nor the safety they need.
My sister is a U.S. Marine serving along with many other troops; talking to her is rare, unfortunately. The soldiers are not given the best food nor the opportunity to call home often. The least that could be given to them is better food and more call time to keep them motivated.
Hopefully, this war will be put to an end soon so we can all see our loved ones and have them home.
