President Bush stated that the revamped State Children's Health Insurance Program proposed by Democrats would "raise taxes on working people" and that Congress should help individuals make the best choices for themselves.
As well as providing good health insurance coverage for poor children, doesn't an increase in cigarette taxes, which are not mandatory to smoke, help people to make the best choices for themselves?
Critical analysis of this president's statements are imperative in order to begin making good choices for ourselves.
