No profit from health care for poor

The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors should be proud of their effort to dismantle the health care system in this county. They have been successful.

Supervisor Jim DeMartini announced that our county health care system has been losing money and that that must stop. Really? Since when does society make money off providing health care to the disenfranchised, elderly, disabled and working poor? Starting next year, Stanislaus County will.

Let us hope that the supervisors responsible for this disgraceful change have to wait outside of the urgent care facility at the wrong hour of the day, waiting for help. But then they won't, will they? They have access to premium health insurance. We pay for it.
