I am a community administrator of a senior community in Atwater. In February, I was approached by a resident with the idea of erecting a dog park within our gated community. Our annual budget did not
include this project, so our senior residents formed a committee and raised funds for the dog park project. By August, our community
of 238 duplex homes came together and built a private, beautiful dog park. These senior citizens formulated, fund-raised and built a large area for dogs and their owners to enjoy exercise. This happened in a matter of six months.
I hope that city of Turlock and its officials are able to come to an agreement and install their dog park. Ours has been a happy and welcomed addition to our community.
