Modesto no model for good planning

I must say, the outcry against the Salida plan is quite amusing. Major features of the plan, such as the start of an east-west expressway and large amounts of business park land, are a direct response against the poor job Modesto has done in planning growth.

When has Modesto ever planned an expressway?

The Briggsmore “expressway?”

The Pelandale “expressway?”

Where are Modesto’s business parks?

How long have they worked on the old FMC site?

All Modesto has planned is more houses, more houses, oh and some shopping centers. At least the Salida community has tried to fix some of Modesto's mistakes by teaming up with the county to come up with a plan that has a great chance of working.
