No revivals on public campuses

Maybe our republic will not fall if Greg Laurie and his band of religious zealots take over California State University, Stanislaus, this weekend for a revival, but it's certainly not good public policy. It's a bad decision to allow a sectarian proselytizing megacrusade at a publicly owned educational institution. Farcical displays of hard-edged music, TV cameras, light shows and hysterical born-agains put on by anyone simply don't belong on a public campus.
