Supervisors sidestep county voters

I am still seething by the conduct of the three Stanislaus County supervisors, Jeff Grover, Dick Monteith and Jim DeMartini, who shoved through the Salida Now proposal, simply sidestepping the voters of the county. Please tell me I'm dreaming!

The Bee hit the nail squarely on the head when its editorial of Aug. 9 ("Maybe the developers really do run the county") read, "and public input be damned." Do any of these supervisors actually live in Salida? I doubt it. And no buffer requirement to allow for surrounding farmers? This is disgusting! With supervisors like these three, who needs developers?
