My wish for Modesto is to be the best town to raise a family in Stanislaus County. There have been many improvements toward making my wish come true. Services in the unincorporated areas like garbage removal, sewer systems, installing street lights are being offered. Our heavily travelled roads are being widened and repaved, and potholes are being eliminated. Parks and recreation areas such as Tuolumne River Regional Park have been extended. New schools for outlying neighborhoods and a new hospital like Kaiser Permanente and a new addition to Memorial Medical Center are all needed improvements.
What could help make a better town is more police and firefighters, with cadets trained to come to our aid in case of a disaster. More of our people involved with the Neighborhood Watch program would help our town, too.
