A recently printed letter about the District 3 Stanislaus Supervisor race mentions the Wood Colony farms permanently preserved for farming. We are among the families whose farms have been preserved for agricultural use, and we wholeheartedly endorse Terry Withrow for supervisor.
Over 15 years ago Terry was instrumental in forming the farmland trust to help protect family farms like ours. Terry also formed the Wood Colony MAC, which has given us a unified voice to protect Wood Colony.
As a member of LAFCO, Terry stopped Wood Colony and Salida from being annexed by the city of Modesto.
Regarding the approved Highway 132 bypass, Terry again fought for West Modesto, advocating for a below-grade design along Kansas Avenue, limited access with no offramp at Dakota Avenue and the removal of its designation as an expressway. The bypass will reduce the ever increasing traffic, the numerous wrecks and the frequent deaths on our roads in West Modesto, significantly increasing safety for our homes and farming operations.
We are very pleased Terry is continuing the legacy of former Supervisor Bill Ulm, who once represented Terry’s district. As long time friends of Bill’s, we urge you to vote for Terry Withrow for District 3 Supervisor.
