A large number of young people in this country are having some success getting our attention on gun control. A great many of these people are not able to vote yet. But they are voting in a different way. The mass shootings have struck a chord with them and they are determined to make their opinions known by making us aware of their presence.
Good for them!
They are accomplishing something the older population has not had much success with, and they seem to be making a difference. It would be wise for us to listen to them closely as they are speaking from the heart on this topic. There is power in numbers and much like the “Me too” movement, there is something happening here. This social media generation is speaking to us in a new way. These young people are the future and we need to do everything we can to get them involved in a positive manner. We older folks should help them out. It is a brave new world.
