Beard Elementary School had an amazing Friday morning celebrating Read Across America with guests reading stories of kindness and friendship to classrooms of engaged children. On March 2, Stanislaus County Chief Executive Officer Jody Hayes led a team of county employee who volunteered to read books they donated to kindergarten through 4th grade classes.
The readers’ enthusiasm and efforts encouraging academic success resonated with our students and led to meaningful discussions about the importance of civility and compassion.
On behalf of the Beard school community, thank you to the Stanislaus County team members who participated in sharing their love of reading and supporting literacy for local children.
