Every day they put their lives on the line for us, these men and women. They leave their families and friends and hope that today they will make it through the day, not getting shot at or having to shoot at someone. The worst possible thing that can happen is that they might have to take someone’s life. The respect they deserve they do not get in today’s mixed up world; they are always wrong in the news media, even before all the facts have been established. Still, they forge on every day protecting us and our families. Could we do what they do, make a life-or-death decision in a fraction of a second? They do it everyday.
These are the men and women of law enforcement, the ones who respond when we dial 911; no matter what we say about them, they still are there for us. These are our civilian veterans who watch over us when we really need them and are there for us always. God bless them and their families and may God watch over them.
