It’s sad that I feel helpless, hopeless, angered and frustrated realizing that nothing I say or do is heard by my government. Sending letters and emails regarding national defense, economic development, civil rights and foreign affairs only results in a form letter with benign/neutral positions in return.
If government is self-centered, self-serving, deceptive, unethical and completely isolated from the needs of its constituents, then it must be considered a fascist enterprise.
How can a nation’s top leaders commit treasonous acts by lending aid and support to terrorists and terrorist-sponsoring nations without confrontation? Have these leaders so much power that they are above the law? At the very least, there must be some way to prove the unconstitutionality of the obvious censorship of media! You know – freedom of the press and freedom of speech! I guess speech on our college campuses is only protected as long as Muslim ideologies and Palestinian causes aren’t compromised.
Our leaders would have us believe that our only battle against Islamist extremism exists with ISIS. Apparently, we are too stupid to realize that Hamas, Hezbollah, Iranian Guard, Boko Haram and a thousand other groups all read the same Koran. The fundamental ideologies are identical.
