Investigators have arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of sexually abusing two girls under the age of 10, police announced Thursday.

Christopher Bonander, of Turlock, was booked at the Stanislaus County Jail on charges of oral copulation with a child younger than 10, lewd acts with a child younger than 14, showing harmful materials to a minor, continuous sexual abuse of a child younger than 14 and attempted oral copulation of a child younger than 10.

Bonander was arrested Wednesday. Turlock police investigators were notified of the alleged abuse in April, according to police spokesman officer Steve Rodrigues. He said the girls knew Bonander, and the alleged abuse occurred at a Turlock home.

Police officials on Thursday did not release further information about the circumstances in the case.

Bonander remained in custody at the jail Thursday evening. His bail was set at $250,000. His arraignment hearing has not been scheduled.
