A Jamestown man was arrested by Sonora police on Tuesday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. Three others face charges of child endangerment related to the assault.
The girl reported to Sonora police that she was sexually assaulted three to four times during the night of Sept. 21 at a home in the 300 block of Barretta Street where the four adult suspects provided her with alcohol.
She became intoxicated and allegedly was assaulted in the home, where, she told police, other people were having sex in her presence.
The victim identified her attacker as Chance Ditmars, 21, through a tattoo he has on his torso.
He was arrested on suspicion of felony intercourse with a minor under the age of 16, felony rape of an intoxicated victim, felony oral copulation of a minor under 16 years of age and felony child endangerment.
Stephanie Palmertree, 34, of Sonora and Rebecca Forbes, 23, of Soulsbyville were arrested on suspicion of child endangerment. Palmertree also was booked for failing to register as a sex offender.
A Modesto resident, 24-year-old Adam Campo, also could also face charges of child endangerment.
The report has been forwarded to the Tuolumne County District Attorney’s Office for review.
