A preliminary hearing for a west Modesto murder case was stopped again Thursday because one of the defendants was too ill to continue.
Cory Cline and Quinton Lambert have been charged with murder in Mario Albo’s death. The 30-year-old man was found with the gunshot wound in his head July 24, 2013, at a home in the 2300 block of Ridge Road in west Modesto.
Cline has been suffering with health problems throughout the week, and Thursday was the second time she has had to be excused from the courtroom. The hearing can’t continue without Cline.
Stanislaus Superior Court Judge Dawna Reeves scheduled the attorneys to return to the courtroom Monday to determine how Cline is recuperating. It’s unclear when the hearing will resume, possibly not until the fall.

At the conclusion of the hearing, the judge will determine whether there is enough evidence for the defendants to stand trial. Cline and Lambert remain in custody.
