Two armed men took over a check-cashing business Wednesday morning, getting away with cash, police said.
The robbers entered Check 'n Go in the Oakmoor Plaza shopping center on Oakdale Road about 11:10 a.m.; at least one of them was brandishing a handgun, according to Modesto police Lt. Rick Armendariz.
They ordered employees and four customers to get on the ground.
One of the robbers stood by the door with a gun while the other collected an undisclosed amount of cash, Armendariz said.
Both robbers were black men ages 18 to 20 years old, wearing jeans and white T-shirts.
One wore a camouflage baseball cap and the other wore a gray baseball cap.
They last were seen running north through the parking lot toward Lancey Drive.
