Three Stanislaus County residents were arrested on various drug, weapons and parole violations in Tuolumne County.

Justin Mann, 27, and Dana Arnett, 46, both of Riverbank, and Renee Carranza, 39, of Denair, were booked into Tuolumne County Jail after an incident that began in a gas station bathroom on Sunday afternoon.

According to Chief Mark Stinson of the Sonora Police Department, a clerk at a gas station reported that two women were inside a restroom for more than 20 minutes.

After they left, the clerk went in and noticed a chemical smell and a pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine sitting on the bathroom counter, Stinson said.

An officer arrived and was able to locate Arnett and Carranza at a nearby business at the intersection of Greenley Road and Mono Way. They also now were accompanied by Mann.

As police were talking to the women, Mann took off running west across Greenley and allegedly tossed a load .22-caliber pistol on a roof. Mann, who was on parole for armed robbery, was quickly taken into custody by a Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department deputy, Stinson said.

All three were booked into jail on the various charges.

Upon a further search, Carranza had 1.2 grams of methamphetamine concealed in a body cavity and Arnett 8.5 grams of methamphetamine concealed near a body cavity, along with a pipe, Stinson said.
