Andrew Lopez of Denair was found unsuitable for parole at a hearing in Corcoran State Prison on Dec. 7.
Lopez was convicted in 1992 of second-degree murder with use of a knife for a murder at the Denair Community Park on June 25, 1991, where Lopez stabbed his victim 13 times.
He is serving a prison sentence of 17 years to life. He is scheduled for another hearing in 2013.
