Modesto police captured a burglary suspect not far from a commercial storage center where a break-in had occurred, police spokesman Brian Findlen said today.
Officers were responding to a report of a break-in at the Snyder Mini-Storage about 3 a.m. Sunday when they spotted a man matching the suspect's description at the intersection of Snyder Avenue and Dale Road. They arrested Carl Wall, 37, who Findlen said had a crowbar with fresh scratches on it and a padlock.
Wall was put on a parole hold and charged with commercial burglary and possession of a burglary tool.
Nothing substantial was reported missing from the storage unit, Findlen said.
