Police investigating a burglary at storage units in Modesto on Monday arrested two men, one of them after a chase and a search.
Police Sgt. Brian Findlen said the burglary was reported at 1 p.m. in the 2900 block of Snyder Avenue. At 6:40 p.m., the burglars reportedly returned.
As officers arrived, two men were leaving. One stopped and was arrested immediately. Jessie Rodriguez, 29, had drugs in his possession, Findlen said.
The other suspect, later identified as Victor Henley, 38, left on a motorcycle and led officers on a chase before losing them west of Modesto, Findlen said. Stanislaus County sheriff's deputies found the motorcycle near Maze and Gates roads, and investigators started a search.
An hour later, Henley was found hiding in the area. He was arrested on a parole hold, an unrelated robbery charge, drug charges and a charge of evading police, Findlen said.
