An armed robbery early Thursday in Oakdale was the second in as many days.
About 2:15 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven convenience store at 1138 W. F St. Two masked men armed with a handgun took money from the cash register and fled on foot.
The first suspect was described as about 6 feet tall, dressed in all black and wearing a mask. The second was about the same height, dressed in an all-gray sweat track suit and also wearing a mask. One of the men was armed with a handgun.
A little more than 24 hours earlier, at about 12:25 Wednesday morning, two masked men robbed the Circle K convenience store at 1515 W. F St. The men, armed with handguns, took money from the cash register and fled.
The first man was described as being in his 20s and wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweat shirt, white pants, black shoes and a black backpack with a yellow circle emblem. The second also is believed to be in his 20s and was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, blue shirt underneath, white sweatpants and dark shoes. A white and black bandana, possibly with a skull face on it, concealed the lower part of his face.
Detectives are working to determine if the two robberies are related, Oakdale Police Department spokeswoman Janeen Yates said Friday.
