An argument over moving out of a house turned violent Wednesday, when a man bit off his mother’s ear, authorities said.
According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to a home in the 1400 block of Granite Creek Drive at 8:30 a.m. for a report of a family fight.
When they arrived, deputies found a woman with an injury to her ear; she was taken to the emergency room.
Deputies learned that the suspect, Marquette Hudson, 43, of Riverbank had been staying at his mother’s Patterson home with his family. Hudson was in the process of moving out; when his mother wanted him out of the home Wednesday, they started arguing and Hudson bit off the woman’s ear.
Hudson left the home before deputies arrived; he turned himself in later Wednesday and was arrested on a charge of mayhem.
