The Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series “Schoolhouse Rock,” which taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever songs, came to life for local schoolkids who attended the touring stage show “Schoolhouse Rock Live” on Wednesday at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto. The musical, presented by Childsplay Theatre for Everyone, includes songs that many of the kids’ parents or even grandparents probably could sing by heart at one point: “Conjunction Junction,” “Just a Bill,” “Interplanet Janet,” “Three is a Magic Number,” “Unpack Your Adjectives,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and more.
