The Ripon and Menlo Park police departments will have their 24th annual Emergency Vehicle Display Show and Law Enforcement Recruiting Fair on Saturday in Ripon.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ripon Community Center and Park, 412 W. Fourth St. It’s a benefit for the California Highway Patrol Museum, the Ripon Volunteers in Police, the Menlo Park Police Cadet Unit and Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.).
The vehicle show has 18 classes and awards, including best restored police vehicle; best novelty police vehicle; best fire vehicle; and best ambulance, medical, military, or professional vehicle.
All law enforcement agencies are invited to attend the recruitment fair held during the vehicle show. “There is no cost for participation,” according to the website, “but donations for vehicles brought to the show are welcomed and appreciated.”
Also during the vehicle show, the Northern California Law Enforcement Collectors Show will be held inside the Community Center. It features historic law enforcement collectibles and memorabilia.
