SUPERVISORS TAKE UP REVENUE SHORTFALL

The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the basement chamber of Tenth Street Place, at 1010 10th St., Modesto. The following items will be considered:

• Year-end budget adjustment for a $215,000 revenue shortfall due to long-term leave of absence.



• Proposed increase in weekend and holiday hours for the Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Genesis Program.



• Contract renewals with the California Department of Education for administration of child care and development block grants.



WATER CONSERVATION TALK COMES TO SALIDA

The Salida Municipal Advisory Council meeting is at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Salida Regional Library Community Room, 4835 Sisk Road. The presentation is by Juan Tejeda, city of Modesto water conservationist, who will share conservation information and tips. Salida is part of Modesto’s system. FAMILY CENTER HAS NEW SITE IN TURLOCK

The public can see the new home of the Turlock Family Resource Center at a grand reopening from 3 to 6 p.m. Aug. 7. Aspiranet, a leading provider of human services in California, moved the center to 2160 Geer Road. Its services include parent education groups, school readiness programs, prenatal education and developmental screenings. A computer lab allows people to search for employment and learn office skills, budgeting, résumé building and more. Healthy snacks, storytelling and other activities are planned for the event.
