50 YEARS AGO: The Stanislaus County Planning Commission recommended the renewal of a land use permit for a go-kart track on the south side of Linwood Avenue, west of Walnut Road. The commission attached a special condition that the use of the track be limited to go-karts. The track had been being used, apparently without the owner’s consent, by motorcyclists.
