It's not quite the holiday yet, but that didn't stop a huge crowd from partying in the park Sunday to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Modesto's festivities kicked off Saturday with a parade on Crows Landing Road, followed by a community fiesta Sunday at Tuolumne River Regional Park. The holiday marks the Mexican army's defeat of french forces on May 5, 1862.
