Fire in Turlock

A two-alarm fire at a commercial structure in Turlock on Saturday night left one person with minor smoke inhalation injuries and a building housing three businesses heavily damaged.

Firefighters got the call about the blaze just before 10 p.m. Saturday and contained it within 50 minutes. The fire took four hours to control and is under investigation, officials said. Four engines, one ladder truck and 19 firefighters, including a captain and two division chiefs, Turlock police, ambulance workers and Turlock Irrigation District personnel responded.
