Info: Come to this free seminar and learn more about sleep apnea. Dr. Robert Tanaka, FCCP, pulmonology medicine, Gould Medical Group, will discuss types of sleep apnea, diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Syed Ahmed, cardiologist, Gould Medical Group, will discuss heart conditions related to sleep apnea. OPPORTUNITY FOR CERES TEENS

Info: The Ceres Recreation Department is offering a great opportunity for Ceres teens to get involved in local government. The Ceres Youth Commission was established in 2005 to give area teens in seventh through 12th grades an opportunity to plan, create and facilitate citywide programs and events. CYC members learn about municipal government, help with community problem solving and organize activities for their peers. A full calendar of events, including the annual CYC Dodgeball Tournament, Ceres Community Center Teen Room Grand Opening, CYC Teen Concert Night, CYC Halloween Festival Carnival Booth, Youth and Government Day and Christmas Festival Craft booth, is on tap for the year.
