Buhach student 3rd
Erica Voris, a senior at Buhach Colony High School in Atwater, finished third in the District Rotary Final Speech contest held Saturday in Stockton. Sponsored by the California State University, Stanislaus, Communications Studies Department, the event featured 12 finalists who spoke on this year's topic, "Serving Through Caring and Sharing." Halima Lucas of Bear Creek High in Stockton won the event. Tony Pierucci of Tokay High in Lodi was second. More than 200 students participated, and a total of $21,000 was awarded.
