Denham recall try on June 3 ballot
State Sen. Jeff Denham's recall election will coincide with the June 3 primary, as many observers expected. Gov. Schwarzenegger issued a proclamation Tuesday that set the recall for that day for voters in Denham's 12th State Senate District. Denham, who faces a recall because of his position last summer on the state budget, will be recalled if a majority of voters favor it. He then would be replaced by the candidate who receives the most votes from a list that also will be on the June 3 ballot. Denham, R-Merced, represents a district that includes parts of Stanislaus and Merced counties.
