DONATE TO A CHILD: Comerciantes Unidos is seeking donations for 1,000 children it plans to provide with gifts at the "Third Annual Posada de la Crows Landing." The Posada will be Wednesday at Schackelford Elementary School. The organization does not register children or ask for names. Last year, it gave away more than 1,000 toys, but ended up with a waiting list of 200 names, and provided a free dinner of tamales, rice, beans, pan dulce and chocolate for each child and his or her parents. More than 3,000 meals were served to the community. Santa will be there for free family photos, and everyone will receive a free candy cane with his or her toy from Santa. All those who would like to help can meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Schackelford School. For more information, call Maggie Mejia at 312-0516 or 303-2664.
