A $10 slot machine bet lands ‘unforgettable’ jackpot, Sacramento casino says

A gambler at Thunder Valley Casino Resort near Sacramento hit a $230,069 jackpot on a $10 slot machine bet Friday, casino officials reported.

The player won the jackpot during a high-energy bonus round, the casino said in a news release.

“This is what makes Thunder Valley so special,” said Dawn Clayton, general manager at Thunder Valley Casino Resort. “You come for a fun night out, and suddenly you are part of something unforgettable. Those moments happen here every day.”

Another player Friday won $118,738 playing bingo on the Thunder Jackpot game, casino officials said.

Thunder Valley Casino Resort at 1200 Athens Ave. in Lincoln has 3,500 slot machines and 89 table games. It is about 35 miles northeast of Sacramento.
