Stanislaus County home price gains outpace California

Stanislaus County home price gains continued to outpace the rest of California. The median home sales price was $220,100 last month, which was 19 percent more than November 2013.

Prices were higher than October, but about the same as they were in August and September, according to statistics provided by CoreLogic DataQuick.

The housing market elsewhere in the state isn’t doing as well.

The median price paid for a California home last month was $381,000, which was $1,000 less than in October and only 5.8 percent higher than November 2013.

California’s median sale price has declined for the past three months, which followed significant increases in the spring and summer.

Prices also have dipped in San Joaquin and Tuolumne counties.

Median-priced homes sold for $245,000 in San Joaquin last month, which $18,000 less than during October but 6.5 percent more than during November 2013.

In Tuolumne, the median sales price was $187,500 last month, $9,500 less than October and 1.4 percent more than last year.

Merced County home sales data was not available.
