Be in Turlock on Friday morning if you’d like to work at a dairy plant

A newly expanded dairy plant in Turlock aims to hire about 80 people at a Friday morning, March 29, event.

Super Store Industries plans to offer jobs on the spot for applicants who qualify. The event starts at 9 a.m. at Turlock City Hall, 156 S. Broadway.

SSI makes various dairy products under the Sunnyside label for the Save Mart and Raley’s grocery chains. The plant is at Spengler Way and South Kilroy Road in the southwest part of Turlock.

The company is seeking production supervisors, safety specialists, mechanical engineers, production workers, maintenance technicians and other workers. All of the jobs are full-time and come with benefits.

The city and Oppourtunity Stanislaus, which promotes job creation throughout the county, are helping to put on the hiring event.

SSI, founded in 1981, also has a Lathrop plant that produces dry and frozen foods, along with a Fairfield operation.
