Turlock baby in fair condition after pit bull attack

The six month old girl who was bitten in the face by the family’s pit bull remained hospitalized Wednesday and listed in fair condition at UC Davis Medical Center.

Turlock Police determined the incident was an accident. The pit bull bit the girl in while she was eating a snack in a jumper at the family’s apartment in the 1000 block of Geer Road last week.

The family voluntarily surrendered the dog to Turlock Animal control, which will decide its fate at the end of a 10-day quarantine period.
