Man holds up Manteca postal store

MANTECA - A man police believe was involved in similar robberies in the area held up a PostalAnnex store Monday afternoon.

The man entered the store at 1323 Historical Way at 5:19 p.m., displayed a handgun, demanded money and made off with some cash, according to police Sgt. Ralph Colin. The man was described as white, in his late 20s, 5-foot-8, 150 pounds with acne on his face and wearing a white baseball hat, white shirt and dark khaki shorts, Colin said.

Colin said that matches the description of someone who allegedly has been holding up post office-type stores in and around Modesto and Turlock.
