A crash landing was reported at Merced Airport around 11:30 p.m. Monday, according to Merced Fire Department Chief Ken Mitten.
Mitten said the crash landing happened after the plane's landing gear failed to deploy. The pilot wasn’t injured. Mitten said about 12 firefighters responded to the scene, but a fire wasn’t reported.
The plane was an Archer II, Mitten said.
