Red Cabbage Salad

1 head red cabbage, finely shredded

1 apple, unpeeled and diced

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cup raisins

3 tablespoons Gorgonzola, crumbled

1 bunch green onions, finely sliced


1/2 cup white vinegar, or mix of white and balsamic vinegar

2/3 cup salad oil

2 tablespoons finely chopped mango chutney

1 teaspoon curry powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon dry mustard

Several dashes of Tabasco sauce


Combine all salad ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.

Combine all dressing ingredients in a jar and shake vigorously.

Pour dressing over salad and toss to mix well. (For variety, try using green cabbage and substituting pine nuts for the walnuts.)
