At Beyer High, it’s all fun and games

Heavy rain may have cut into the crowd a bit, but the Beyer High School cafeteria still was bustling Friday night when student groups held their annual Winter Fest crafts and games events for younger children. At various tables, kids were making ornaments and other crafts. They could have their picture taken with Santa or drop a letter to him in a special mailbox. They could enjoy cocoa and treats, then burn off the energy on an obstacle course or by playing hockey within the confines of small wooden arenas that were set on the floor. The entirely free event was promoted through posters, fliers and social media.
