All Saints Catholic Campus Ministry Center serving Cal State Stanislaus is providing two scholarships (one $1,000 and renewable, the other $500 and nonrenewable) to students from Turlock, Pitman and Denair high schools, who wish to attend a four-year university, a two-year community college or a trade school. The Modesto Junior College Shakespeare Academy will present its 12th "almost annual" Shakespeare Night tonight at 7 in Forum Building 102 on the east campus, 435 College Ave. The event is open to the public; admission is free. Seating is limited to the first 100 people. Students and faculty will present William Shakespeare's sonnets and scenes from his plays. Downey High School will present "Les Misérables," the school version, at 7:30 p.m. April 25-26 and May 2-3, and at 2 p.m. May 4. Modesto High theater
The Modesto High School theater department will present William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in the school auditorium at 7:30 p.m. April 4-5 and 11-12 and at 2 p.m. April 13. Tickets are $7 and available at the door. The box office will open one hour before curtain.
Modesto High dance
Modesto High Dance Production will be be performing "Don't Stop the Music" at 7 p.m. April 24-25 in the school's auditorium. There will be 22 students performing genres of jazz, lyrical, modern and hip-hop choreographed by the students and one guest artist (Cassie Gardner). General admission is $7; tickets available at the door.
Fantazia Dance Productions will present "Metamorphosis," an evening of dance, music and theatrical performance, at 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Pitman High School black-box theater, 2525 W. Christoffersen Parkway, Turlock. Information: 669-8554.
