Boneyard: Where do mines go to die? That's a silly question on two levels. First, they aren't alive. Second, they don't go anywhere. But as this new episode of the series about the "afterlives" of nonliving things explains, surprising things can be done with old mine sites. It looks at several, including a one-time uranium mine where a health spa now stands and a 100-square-mile mining complex that's undergoing an amazing transformation. 9 p.m. on History Channel
