Grammy Award-winning artist and Country Music Hall of Fame member Kenny Rogers packed the Merced Theatre on Thursday during a stop in his Through the Years World Tour. Rogers played to an enthusiastic crowd as he performed many of his classic hits as well as some new releases. Rogers and longtime friend Dolly Parton received their fifth joint nomination as a duo for this year’s County Music Association Awards. Rogers has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide and has charted a record within each of the past seven decades. He received the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 47th Annual CMA Awards last fall. Based on the reception he received in Merced on Thursday night, Rogers still knows how to thrill audiences.
