Atwater Fall Festival this weekend

The Atwater Chamber of Commerce Fall Festival will be today and Sunday at Ralston Park in Atwater. The times are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Atwater-Winton Lions Club Breakfast

Symphony fundraiser

The Merced Symphony will hold its annual Music & Merriment fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. today. Ming Luke, the recently appointed resident interim conductor, will speak about upcoming concerts for the 2014-15 season, and accompany soprano Carrie Hennessey on several songs. Our Lady of Mercey Oktoberfest

Enjoy an evening under the stars while eating sausage and drinking beer at the Our Lady of Mercy Oktoberfest at 6 p.m. today, 4526 E. Highway 140. Pedal Merced Bicycle Fest

The Pedal Merced Family Bicycle Fest, sponsored by United Way of Merced County, will start at 9 a.m. Sunday at Merced High School, 205 W. Olive Ave., and follow bike paths throughout central Merced. The aim is to get families to use the paths for exercise and fun. Registration is $10 per person or $25 for a family and includes lunch. Holiday bazaar to help veterans

The American Legion Post 83 Merced will host its second annual Fall Holiday Fair Bazaar featuring crafts and antiques, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 1-2. Vendors must apply by Oct. 31. Booths are 10 feet square for a $65 tax-deductible donation (both days). The fundraiser benefits local veterans and the preservation of the historic Veterans Memorial Building.
