Tea Party Meeting
The Merced-Atwater Tea Party regular monthly meeting will be Thursday, 6:30 to 8:30 PM, at the Atwater Memorial Building, Fifth & Broadway, Atwater. The speaker this month is Marie Roberson, Stanislaus County Tea Party coordinator and Tea Party California Caucus GOP representative. She will give an update on last month’s convention, plus a rundown on ballot measures. The Merced Symphony will hold its annual Music & Merriment Fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Ming Luke, the recently appointed resident interim conductor, will speak about upcoming concerts for the 2014-15 Season. Merced College’s Los Banos campus plans a ceremony honoring the United States Submarine Veterans at 10 a.m. Monday at the Westside campus, 22240 Highway 140 in Los Banos. The event will feature the planting of trees and markers around the campus, and the revealing of a monument to those who served on board U.S. naval submarines.
