LOS BANOS — Dylan Soares scored six goals as the Los Banos boys water polo team cruised to a 17-8 win over Pacheco on Wednesday afternoon.

Cameron Jordan added three goals for the Tigers (6-3 Valley Foothill League, 8-5 overall).

Athony Juarez paced Pacheco with three goals.

Pitman 3, Buhach Colony 2

ATWATER — Ashley Solis paced the Price with 26 kills as they outlasted the Thunder 25-8, 13-25, 23-25, 25-21, 17-15.

Rachel Andrews led BC with 17 kills and six blocks.

"After the first two games it was very tight," Thunder coach Michelle Osmer said. "It was great volleyball."

Golden Valley 3, Atwater 0

ATWATER — Reina Sykes recorded a quardruple double in just three games with 16 kills, 10 blocks, 12 assists and 11 digs to lead the Cougars to a narrow 27-25, 25-23, 25-21 win over the Falcons.

Women's Water Polo

Merced College 21, West Valley 2

Poni McGee added to her team-best goal scoring total with six and added an assist as state No. 8 Merced College cruised past West Valley at the MC pool

Katie Elam and Jessica Witt each added hat tricks in the game for the Lady Devils and goalkeeper Allison Ghimenti made six saves.

Men's Water Polo

West Valley 22, Merced College 3

Fresno Pacific 16, Merced College 3

Greg Bracamonte scored a goal in each game as MC was swept in a doubleheader at the MC pool.

About 20 homeless people on Wednesday left a makeshift tent village in Beard Brook Park in Modesto, California, and moved into a new camp under the Ninth Street Bridge near the Tuolumne River.
